Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

Case coming up

About to be tried on a 10 year old theft case. I want to resolve the issue and am meeting with a lawyer to do so, but if there is no longer a victim what are my chance of a quick resolution? The company has been out of business over 9 years.

I believe that the Statute of Limitations for Theft is 7 years. A lot depends on when the case was filed and whether or not the defense requested continuances. Your attorney is, of course, in the best position to advise you of possible defenses.

If you are meeting with a lawyer, why aren't you discussing the issues there? Generally speaking, I do not give advice to people who are represented.

If you want to discuss this, please contact me directly to set up a private consultation.
