can a case that was dismissed be retried in a different district court?

yes, but the district attorney only has 365 from the date of the initial processing of the complaint to bring you to trial. there are many many exceptions to this and most judges hate to throw out cases for the 365 rule. good luck. [email protected]

yes. This usually requires the approval of the District Attorney's office. The DA's office will dedicate significant'y more resources to the case if they are refiling, as they perceive that their reputation is at stake.
