You should be able to speak to the Magisterial District Judge and ask for a waiver of the $50.00. Be persistent -- just show up to court and ask to see the Judge in between cases, or just wait in the courtroom itself and make yourself known during a break while the Judge is still on the bench. Your personal appearance will probably convince the Judge that you will indeed show up for trial so that he/she will waive the $50.00. Best of luck to you.
