Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

My cousin and his wife recently stole money from I and my younger brother when we stayed at their home after my mother passed away. The income was Social Survivor benefits from our father. My cousin is on probation (for murder) and I am wondering if he will go back to jail if fraud is determined? and if each embezzled check could count as a probation violation? Also, is there any special penalties attached since the crime was against minors? I just want him to pay... and to know my options... legally.

If he is on probation and a set of new charges are brought against him, he will go to jail for being in direct violation of probation. It will be up to the judge and his probation officer to determine the length of his sentence.

Usually, each separate count is included in one particular affidavit of probable cause. However, if he defrauded other people he might be subject to additional criminal charges that would be separate from this incident.

Not sure how to answer the minor part of your question. Would need more information.

I would contact a lawyer immediately to assess your situation based on what had happened.

Usually, most lawyers offer a free first initial consultation.
