Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
credit card fraud
I bring work home everyday from my job to work on my computer...and with that work is several credit card slips with information on them. A woman recently came into my employment claiming someone at my address stole and then proceeded to use her credit card for purchases. These purchases where then mailed to my address. We believe it to have been stolen by my prior roommate, because i never received any property nor used any information. I dont know what to do should i see a lawyer, will i be arrested for something i didnt do? I never received any package nor did i sign for anything, or have anything in my home resembling that package? Confused and not sure what to do

Re: credit card fraud
As my disclaimer says, I can't know all the relavent information for your situation. IF I knew more I might suggest you go to the local police and tell them about the situation. Who knows, the woman might even be lying to you and trying to shake you down so SHE won't go to the police. Crooks can be VERY devious, I know I do criminal law.
My suggestion would be to bite the bullet and go talk to a local atty who does criminal law, tell all the particulars and take the advise given.
Good luck, and a good new year to you.
