Number one is to get any necessary medical treatment to make sure you are physically okay - your health is the first priority.
As to the criminal charges, the first step is a preliminary hearing at which the officer will appear and testify to the facts of the case. The judge will decide if there is enough evidence against you to hold the matter over for trial. You'll need an experienced criminal defense attorney, and if you cannot afford one, the court will appoint a lawyer to represent you.

Get a lawyer before the preliminary hearing.... you need to act now to protect yourself because a felony charge usually is never anything too good.
I am on the Philadelphia County referral list for prelims, and I do them at very reasonable prices, so feel free to contact me at [email protected] or just call me at the office to set up a time to go over things.
