Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

Criminal Mischeif

My son has four counts of felony criminal mischeif pending. This is his first offense, and I am wondering about the possibility of him having to serve any jail time.

Re: Criminal Mischeif

The answer depends on the actual act of mischief. However, I have gotten ARD for felony criminal mischief in the past, so the range is a big one. Feel free to email [email protected]

Well, a lot of what happens depends on the details of the alleged crimes, like who they were against and how much damage was done. Pennsylvania has a statewide sentencing guideline in place, meaning Judges don't have a lot of leeway once the person is convicted. Having said that, a good attorney can negotiate out some of the charges, have them downgraded, make applications for alternative sentencing, and otherwise minimize your son's exposure and potential damage.

I've been a criminal defense lawyer for more than 15 years, and I'm sure I can help if you want.
