Criminal mischief first offense

Damaged a vehicle $7500.00 worth. I go to court 2/26/09. What should I be prepared to face? felony or misdemeanor. Should I have a lawyer if I am to plead guilty? What should I do. This was done to an old friend/boss.

The amount likely will make it a felony. You need a lawyer. What you should do is hire an attorney asap, and do NOT go to the hearing without one, and DO NOT talk to the police or anyone else about this, other than your attorney.
