Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
On Dec. 6, 2011 my boyfriend will be in county prison for 180 days awaiting trial, we r hoping he gets out on the 180 day law, is there anything that could keep him from being released and when does he have to apply?

He would have to file a Speedy Trial Motion and a hearing would have to be held in court. If there were postponements that he requested then the time regarding his postponement would not count. If the delay was not because of him, then the judge could release him.
