can if defend myself against a drunk guy?

Hi, and Thank you for your question,
If a person who is intoxicated attacks you without provocation, you certainly can defend yourself. However, I think in such a situation, the wiser course of action would be to make every effort to walk away and not give the intoxicated person a chance to attack you because (a) Being intoxicated, he can probably take a lot more punches without feeling the pain; and (b) He can probably hit a lot harder because he will not be thinking of the consequences of his actions.
