Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

Is Deferred Judification allowed in PA?

I have a friend from south Texas who would like to move to Pennsylvania but is enrolled in a process called ''Deferred Judification''. This process should take on an adverage of 2 years. Does the state of PA allow deferred judification and might he be able to carry out his remainder 2 years in PA? I was told with out this ''Deferred Judification'' he will have a perminant felony on his record, is this the case? PLEASE REPLY!If not PA can you tell me what states do allow it?

Unless "judification" is a word only in Texas, I think what you're asking about is "Deferred Adjudication." The question can only be answered by Texas, not by Pennsylvania. It is a Texas determination, and so Texas would have control as to whether he could move out of the state during the time he is on that status. He should check with an attorney in Texas.
