Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
detainer
If someone is currenntly in prison and finnds out they have a detainer in another state for a warrent, will that affect pre-release? and what can they do about it in the mean time?any way they an have the detainer removed?

If there's a detainer in another state there will probably be an extradition proceeding at the end of the sentence and the prisoner will be returned to the state where the warrant was issued.
It is a good idea to hire a competent attorney to deal with the extradition proceeding at least for purposes of evaluation.
