What is a detainment hearing? And what is it's relevance to a federal drug case?

A detainment hearing refers to a procedure which occurs when someone on probation or parole is arrested on new charges or otherwise violates the conditions of probation or parole. An arrest on federal drug charges would trigger a detainer for someone on parole or probation. I offer free consultations.
