Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

Disorderly Conduct for Marijuana

I was charged with disorderly conduct and the note on the citation says ''defendant was in possession of a small amount of marijuana and a home made smoking pipe''

I am only charged with disorderly conduct and not possession right?

They confiscated the remaining marijuana (a pinch left) and the pipe (made out of a bottle). I also said that I was smoking. This means that I should plead guilty right?

Is this considered a summary offense and if someone does a background check, would they know that my offense was for marijuana or would it simply say disorderly conduct?

Lastly, I am applying to medical school soon. When they ask if I have ever been convicted of a crime, would this count?

Re: Disorderly Conduct for Marijuana

Usually summary offenses are excluded in applications but you have to read them carefully. The answer to the main question is yes. It is being reduced to a summary and you should probably plead guilty.
