Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
disposition: withdrawn
What does ''withdrawn'' or ''W'' on a court paper really mean? Does that mean that charges are dropped for good, or could charges be re-filed? Please advise.

Re: disposition: withdrawn
Charges that are withdrawn can be refiled. However, if charges are withdrawn in exchange for a waiver of preliminary hearing or another benefit to the Commonwealth, the charges are rarely refiled.
