what happens when the district attorney does make an offer
i am being charged with tw felony counts of theft. i have pled guilty. the da did not make an offer. now what. we continued the hearing

if there is no offer, and you plead guilty, it is called an open plea. that means that the judge has full discretion to sentence you to a sentence of his or her choice. in pa, there are sentencing guidelines that mostly all of the judge follow on an open plea. ask your lawyer what your guideline range looks like.

You should contact a private attorney as soon as possible. The DA might make an offer to a private attorney, or you may need to try the case to a judge. Thanks.
