Re: dropping charges

you missed a step. a bail hearing is followed up by a trial then a sentence hearing. at the sentencing, you can only ask the Judge to have compassion and not sentence him to jail or something. basically, you cannot drop charges in the sentencing but you can ask the District Attorney to withdraw the charges at the trial stage. If you havent gone to trial yet, give me a call and we can work something out. Thanks!

Re: dropping charges

This is trouble. You will need to hire an attorney because of the 5th Amendment issues involved.

Someone should have told you the name of the case by now, which is the COMMONWEALTH (not you!) v. your husband. Get a lawyer to get you and your family out of this!
