I want to drop robbery charges against my daughter. She did time in jail and was released before the hearing. Hearing not scheduled until July. She was subsequently rearrested for not reporting to her probation officer. She is a recovering addict and is having mental health issues. This process is brutal n her. I pressed charges in hopes of helpiong her. It's way more than I bargin for. Can you help me?

Re: dropping robbery charges
I don't really think you need an attorney for this but you may be helping her more by pressing the charges. The last case that I had like that involved the defendant's grandparents and they simply did not want to pursue the case and the District Attorney's Office nolle prossed it (dismissed it).
The system does work to an extent, though, and if she didn't report to her probation officer she may still be using.
