what is the minimum time he could get from the feds? please let me know

Depends upon the charge. Guns/Pistols are usually 60 months minimum per gun. Drugs mandatory minimums depends on type, quantity, and prior record. Guns in possession in relation to a drug trafficking offense can be 10/15 year minimums.
To say the least, the game is different once the feds get involved. You need to get a good, experience Defense attorney, whether that's a Federal PD or private, Defendant's go to jail for a long time if convicted in Federal Court.
