Re: drug offense

Three seperate answers. First, to calculate a guidelines sentence, you must provide your prior contacts with the systems. Second, PA has some mandatory minimum provisions dealing with cocaine. 1.5 ounces is equal to about 42.705 grams. If you have no prior posession with intent to deliver convictions, that holds a mandatory minimum sentence of 3-6 years. If you have a prior pwid, its 5-10 years. For most people these numbers exceed the guidelines by quite a bit. On the other hand, these are minimums only, so after a jury trial, you could get much more. Third, for 42 ounces, the feds could look at the case. The fed guidelines are totally different and are not easily computed.

Good Luck, feel free to call or email if any of the above is unclear or if you have additional questions.
