Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

A family member has criminal charges brought against him. His trial date was supposed to be tomorrow, but has now been changed to next month. Is this a good thing?

A change of trial date may mean something, or it could mean nothing. A lot of times it's just a meaningless scheduling thing within the court system, honestly. There could be other things going on with the criminal case, however, that need to happen before a trial can occur.

I would talk to his attorney about it -- and if he doesn't have one, his public defender. And if he has neither, he should hire someone ASAP! Best of luck to him.
