Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
Federal Indictments, plea deal, co-conspirator
How is it possible that 2 men have been Federally indicted together and given different deals? Other than :the 1 is, was, has expressed a desire to be a 'snitch''. How can I ensure my friend is getting a fair deal ? Does either man have the right to ask, and be given the correct information about the deal his ''partner made''? Is he allowed to find that out before he signs, or takes a plea deal? I ask this because there seems to be a substantial reduction in time behind bars for the 1 man and the other man is looking at 14-22 years. They are both young men 19 years old. I realize justice does not care about age. I just need a little insight into this matter.
