Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
how do i file petition of expungement for a simple assault offense that now list as migrated disposition on my backgroung check
1 Answer from Attorneys
Based on the scant information contained in your question, you may not be eligible for expungement -- but it depends upon the ultimate disposition of the criminal matter by the court.
You need to sit down with an attorney to discuss exactly what happened in the assault case, and go over Pennsylvania expungement law and any options you may have. Because the procedural rules concerning expungement changed last fall, anything you find online may not be currrent -- which is why a face-to-face consult is your safest bet.
If you'd like to discuss your case in further detail, feel free to contact me offline. Best of luck to you.
