Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
firearms
I was arrested after being pulled over for a bad muffler. They found a .357 in my car which I was transporting from my old house to my new house with all of my other belongings too. I told the police this was why I had the gun in the car. There was no ammunition in the gun or in the car. It was not concealed or on my person. Is it illegal to transport a handgun when I'm moving to a new residence? Do I need to have a permit to carry just to move the gun?
