Forgery & RSP
What is the time that a person can serve for such a crime? Can't afford a private attorney has to use public defender. She has 2 PV's -fleeing and eluding and 5 counts of forgery and RSP. She is pretty sure that she is going to get 6-12 months for the PV & Fleeing but not sure if it is likely that she will get the same thing for the checks. Total amount on the checks is $840.00. What kind of chance does she stand - Honestly.

It isn't possible to give you a definite answer on this because sentencing varies widely depending on the particular county, the particular judge, pre-sentence reports, if any, and recommendations of probation and parole officers. I would try to negotiate a plea for a concurrent sentence. Most of the time judges will go along with plea agreements.
