Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

I just found out my son, 24, has a felony arrest warrant. He was charged with forgery, theft by deception, bad checks and false report ( Reported offense did not occur following an investigation into a report of theft from his checking account). He is going to turn himself in. Long story short, He let to hoodlums talk him into using his bank card to get money from someone he didn't know. He was stupid and gullible! He's NEVER been arrested or even had a run in with law enforcement until this. Prior to this his record is squeaky clean. I don't want him to have to do time in jail. How do we proceed? Thank you for your time.

It would be useful to know in which county this happened.

He probably can do ok and avoid jail but it's not a do it yourself job.

Hopefully he has remained silent.

That and he gets himself a lawyer.
