Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

fraud us postal money orders

I was selling a vehicle online. A man sent me U.S Postal money orders. I cashed them and no I find out that they were counterfeit. What is going to happen to me? The only contact that I had with the man is online and the address on the money oders is fake. Now the police are railroading me for everything when I did not make them.

If you did not make the money order and you did not know they were counterfit you should be ok. My recomendation is to secure counsel who on your behalf can provide the information to the authorities on the person who sent you the money order. By having the attorney make the representations you avoid any later attack due to prior inconsistent statements. I offer free consultations.
