Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
Fraudulant Lawsuit /Slander
My small corporation was sued by a student of a college we were working security at. She claimed we assulted her at this event . After I turned the case over to my Insurance carrier they assigned a lawyer and he proceeded to get the case dropped . The case never had any merit and during investigating found she made several remarks to police, EMT and Public Safety that were vindictive and slanderous against my Company. My insurance rates went thru the roof and I lost alot of time and money defending. I also lost some jobs at the college because of her remarks. Is there a way I can sue her for false accusation ?

You could certainly sue her. However, most students are "judgment proof", meaning they done have a lot of money. There's no use paying a lawyer to drag her to court if she can't pay.
If your main motivation is not money, but to make a point, then, again, I believe that you have a valid claim against her.

This is not a criminal law question. It's in the wrong category.
There is no easy "yes" or "no" answer to your question without knowing details of the accusations, and the evidence, if any, supporting them. The fact that the case was dropped is not enough by itself to bring a claim against her.
