friend gun looked in glove box

i was drivin on I95 one night had a one car accident and pulled over on the side of the road i had a friend of mines gun looked in my glove box who was not with me at that time but was before the police got there and came back shortly after the arived but they stilled charged me with possosion of the fire arm is this possible to beat? plus i was given a dui charge but i was laying down acroos the front seat sleep is this a easy win for a good lawyer or should i be looking forward to doing some time. thank you for your answer in advance...

As in all criminal cases the prosecution must prove all the elements of the offenses charged to get a conviction. It sounds like a good lawyer might be able to at least get you a plea bargin that included no jail time.
