Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

friend possibly being charged

my friend and I were driving around when 2 cops pulled us over because they smelled weed, they told us they wouldn't charge us with anything serious if we just handed them the weed. After awhile, my friend gave them his weed which was about a gram or so. he was arrested and they didn't do anything to me. i'm wondering if the charges would be worse if he took them or if I took them (he has been arrested 3 times before). and i recently turned 18, my record is clean i believe, is it true that if you get charged with something, it gets wiped off your record soon after?

Re: friend possibly being charged

Don't take charges for anyone else. And no, it is absolutely not true that your charges get wiped off your record--unless you're found not guilty.

It is better to be a first time offender than to be a multiple offender. However, you cannot lie under oath. Contact our office so that we can discuss your potential options in person.

Our initial consultation is always free.
