Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
grand theft auto and larceny
my sister is only 16 years old. she took her dad's car and $1500 dollars and drove to nc to be with her mother. she didnt tell her dad that she was leaving either. that same day, he pressed charges against her for grand theft auto and larceny (sorry if the spelling is wrong). What will legally happen to her when she left the car in Virginia for him to get and doesnt come back? Will she still be arrested and go to jail? thanks for your time.

I doubt that she will go to jail. She may end up in a Juvenile facility of some kind but I also doubt that. More than likely this will go to Juvenile Court and end up in Family Court.
