Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
harrassment
I purchased my twin property in Feb. of 05. I share a driveway with a family. These people and their children have broken the windshield of my Jeep, scratched and knicked the paint on the passenger side, caused damage to the wood that runs across my grass, and too many other countless things this space does not provide for. I went to see the Chief of Police, he told me I was not the only person complaining, that they are aware of this family and for me to call each time something is going on. I have. The Officer told me to park my jeep as close to my back step as I could and went and told the neighbors they could not skateboard, play, etc near my vehicle. I had to call twice. I had peace for one week. Now it's back with a vengence. The father of these children backed his pick up truck into the driveway and put a big board against it so his children and at least 8 others I did not know could skateboard off the back whereby coming up onto my property and steadying themselves on my car as if the officer had never said a word. I could not bring myself to call since obviously there is nothing that can be done. This is not a case of children playing and a cranky neighbor. This is constant harrassment. What can I do?

Re: harrassment
I do not recommend self-help even if your neighbors suggest it. Living next door to an ignorant person is hell. Unfortunately all that you can do about it is complain and that sometimes makes it worse. You may want to consider placing some type of barrier between your side of the driveway and the neighbor's if your deed and the township allow it.
