Hidden Camera Laws

My car has been shot at in a school parking lot, I am assigned to a certain spot, and cannot change it. The school dose not have cameras to cover the parking lot. My question is can I legally place a hidden camera in my car, without anyone knowing. I want to video tape the area around my car incase of a repeat offence. I am not sure if I would be breaking any laws, by placing a hidden camera. Also if I caught them on tape would this be enough edvidence if it took them to court. Thanks

Any hidden camera runs the risk of violating PA's electronic surveliance act. A letter to the school putting them on notice might bring action. I offer free consultations.
