Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
A hospital has given my SSN to another patient and I am getting bills for services she had there. I have called the compliance officer and he told me 1 1/2 weeks ago he would take care of it but I got another bill. I also checked my credit report and found that in 2010 and 2011 there are 4 collections on my report from the hospital that are hers. Is this something I can have a lawsuit against? I called the hospital again today and talked to the CEO and compliance officer who claim it will take time because they have to do an investigation. I have not even been to that hospital in over 18yrs. Someone got my info on the other patients account because or names were similar with a difference in the middle inital.

I would suggest hiring a lawyer who handles consumer law. They might be able to help you work all of this stuff out.
