Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

When you go to court, you can both speak to the District Attorney about your feelings....You might wish to call the domestic violence unit of the DA's office in your county ahead of time and indicate your feelings, or the local victim-witness unit

They may or may not let you drop the charges--sometimes they defer disposition to a new court date and if nothing else occurs, the cases may be dismissed...Also inquire about anger management classes or mediation....

If alcohol was involved, this might be a red flag and don't be insulted, but some alcohol counselling might be worthwhile...

Perhaps one or both of you shoudl seek legal help to guide you through this...
