Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

Illegal Sexual activity

My cousin told me that there is no law against a mother having sex with her son, as long as they are consenting adults. I told him I do not believe that he is right. Is he correct? I realize that you may think that this question is a waste of your time, but I feel that the answer could have great moral ramifications.

Thank you for the time spent in answering my question and settling this dispute.

Re: Illegal Sexual activity

it is unlawful for persons so related to engage in sexual activity. title 18 of our consolodated statutes contains a prohibition of incest, the definition of which matches your illustration. the public policy behind it is to prevent genetic misadventures; but the law prohobits the activity even should there be no likilihood of conception due to hysterectomy, sterility, etc.
