Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
Juvenile
My 15 year old daughter accidentily threw a magnet & hit a girl on the back of her head, this girl called the police. They came to the house and questioned her without an adult present. They called me and said she was going to have to go before a judge and pay a $200.00 fine. Is this correct or will they give her a warning because she has never been in trouble before?

Re: Juvenile
It sounds to me as if they are charging her with some type of summary offense. If it was accidental then this should be a civil rather than a criminal matter and that is probably what I would argue to the District Magisterial Judge.
