Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

Juvinile arrsest and rights

An emotionally troubled juvinile is arrested in a special education school fo rdefending himself against a teachers attack. He is not informed of his rights. Is questioned by the police and a probation officer. Statments about his brother and insterted into his record and he is held in a detention center for 43 days. Question: is any or all of this legal? Have the child's rights been violated?
