If a person is on probation, the Probation Officer has a right to verify the address of the defendant along with other facts. In addition, if the defendant moves, he/she has an obligation to report their new address to their Probation Officer as quickly as possible because failure to do so gives the Court the right to remove the Defendant from probation and enter an Order that he be incarcerated again.
