Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
littering fine / underage drinking law
my friend was drinking in my car and then got out and put her beer cans on the side of the road. an officer found us and gave her an underage and charged me with littering. the girl admitted they were her cans but i still got the littering charge (which is a hefty fine). should i just be happy i didn't get an underage for allowing her to drink in my car? or should i try to argue that she was not in my car when she discarded the cans therefore she is not my responsibility for the littering?

It can't hurt to argue that you weren't the one littering. You may win and I don't think it would hurt your girlfriend.
