marijuana paraphernalia

I was out with my wife and got a call on my cell to come home by police it seems my teenage daughters had people over and were smoking pot when I gave police permission to search I voluntarily turned over my stash which was about 3 to 4 grams of weed now Im getting charged with possesion of marijuana and paraphernalia is this right I wasn't even home cooperated with them and Im getting charged the same as the people that were here smoking Im 46 no prior record this can't be right.

Believe it or not the police can charge you. You had an illegal substance and you voluntarily gave it to the police. Next time just keep quite and do not give the police permission to search.

What are you talking about? Of course they can charge you. YOU gave the police your "stash". They had no choice but to charge you. It's the police's job to arrest people. That's what they did.

Next time, be quiet, don't volunteer anything, don't agree to have your house searched when you know you have illegal substances inside.
