Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

having a misdameaner conviction expunged or sealed.

I am having problems getting employment because I have a misdameaner charge of simple assault in Pennsylvania on my record. I was wondering if there is a way to have this sealed or expunged. I want to know if there is anything I can do because this may destroy my carreer. Can I appeal to ask a judge to allow this since it was my first offense and have no other offenses other than 1 drunk in public on my record?

Re: having a misdameaner conviction expunged or sealed.

The only way to have a Simple Assault conviction removed from your record is by a Governor's Pardon. It is possible to do it this way. I assume that you were not a juvenile at the time and that you did not get ARD for the simple assault.
