Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

Misdemeanor Charges

I am 20yo. I was with several

friends when the offenses occurred.

I have a preliminary hearing

scheduled. There were 4 charges,

3 of which should be dismissed -

Criminal Mischief, Theft by Unlawful

Taking & Disorderly Conduct. The

forth, Criminal Conspiracy, seems to

be a problem since I was with the

other kids who committed the

crimes. Is there any defense and is

there any problem with pleading

not guilty? What happens if I plead

guilty to the one charge?

Re: Misdemeanor Charges

You need to speak with a lawyer. The DA may have evidentiary problems against you or you might be eligible for ARD which could result in you getting away without a conviction. i offer free initial consultations.

Re: Misdemeanor Charges

You need an attorney. Don't try to play on your own.

The conspiracy charge is conspiracy to commit the other charges listed. You cannot plead guilty at a preliminary hearing...the purpose is to determine if there is enough information to hold the charges for court.

Hire an attorney.
