The law says that you can't possess a controlled substance unless you have a license to do so (a pharmacist, for example, would have that license).

Knowing and intentional possession of a controlled substance. Look up 13a31 or 13a16 depending on the type of narcotic. good luck.

The statute is not in the Crimes Code, but rather in Title 35 Section 780-113(a) (16). (Title 35 is the Drug Act.)
