being a paralegal
i commited the crime when i was 17 years old but was only sentenced in 2005. can i be a paralegal with a falony on my record?

Sure you can be a paralegal. In fact, the employer can only choose not to hire you if the felony relates directly to the work you will be doing. I don't know what the felony was for, but if you are not hired because of the felony, and the felony is unrelated to your job duties, make sure you contact a lawyer right away--that's illegal for the employer to do that.
