Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
Pardons and Espungements
I have a two part question. The first part is, what is the difference between being granted a pardon, and having your record espunged, and secondly, which of these two allows you a fresh start as far as not showing up when a criminal history background check is done by employers and the likes.

Re: Pardons and Espungements
A pardon acts like an acquital at trial. An Expungement operates to remove an arrest record for charges that are dropped, alternatively disposed of or an acquital is obtained. An expungement will remove the record from the state archive. I offer free consultations.
