It is a misdemeanor of the 2nd degree so the maximum penalties are up to 2 years in prison. However, the sentence would depend on the facts of the case and if you have a prior criminal record. If there is no past criminal record than you may be eligible for the ARD program for first time offenders in which the charges are eventually dropped after payment of fines, community service, etc.
I have been a practicing attorney for over 17 years, 5 of which was spent as a Senior District Attorney. Please call me at 215-639-5297 if you have any questions.
