Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
Lets say that a person (A) witnesses person (B) having illegal activity on a computer. If Person (A) used the computer after person (B), would Person (A) get in trouble for possession even though Person (A) never used the computer when illegal activity was on the screen and currently no longer uses the computer?
1 Answer from Attorneys
In this case it's going to depend on the ownership of the computer. If there was something illegal that was done and police come to the house, they are usually going to be looking for the home owner(s) and the owner(s) of the computer.
