how can I get personal property back that was taken in search warrent? The items taken where fire arms and the charges where disorderly conduct and discharging a fire arm in city limits. this happened over 2 years ago. Defendant has not been in trouble since? How can I request to get those back for him?

It is possible that the government has destroyed the firearms by now. If not, the way to get them back is to file a "motion for return of property". You can file this yourself, and most local courthouses can give you forms and instructions. Most criminal defense attorneys can also do this for you.
