what to plea?

i am being charged with a disorderly conduct and carrying a fake id, and im wondering how to plea...i know its up to the magistrate but if i plea guilty would i most likely just have to pay fines? and if i were to plea not guilty would there be any chance that meeting with the magistrate would help to lower my fines? and what are the effects on my record for both pleas?

Because you indicate that you are charged with carrying a fake ID, I suspect you are a minor. If I'm correct, then if this is a first offense, you are probably eligible for a diversionary program. This would result in the charges being dismissed without any record upon your completion of the program.
